Microsoft

During 2008-9, I worked with Microsoft as a user-interface and user-experience designer. During 2009 I worked on a product design team with Product Quality Online (PQO), the support apparatus for Microsoft products. My team drove the UI and UX design for a new support product, code-named "Pinpoint" at the time. The product is now in public Beta as, FixIt Center. The project included design of the install and configuration wizard, desktop application, and web application. The UX design team included a UX Manager, two UX/UI designers, a prototype developer and a user-researcher.

During 2008, I was with AdCenter Labs, an online advertising, technology incubation team, where I lead the complete redesign of the Adlabs website, and drove the user experience, visual design and branding for Aspire, a new web application and social networking website being developed by Microsoft. I collaborated with program managers and development leads on these major initiatives using the Scrum development process.

In my role on this project, I participated in usability testing, conducted user-interviews and feature research, wrote user personas, use-case scenarios, designed site architecture, wireframes, hi-fidelity screen layouts and wrote detailed design specifications for off-shore development teams.

In addition to interactive design projects with the AdCenter Labs team, I designed and produced compelling, professional print collateral: brochures, posters, and event flyers in support of team marketing activities at industry trade shows.
