Background

I've been at this for about seven years now, with progressive experience in design of communications for print and web delivery. In my most recent role as Creatve Director for Apex Wine Cellars and Saunas, I led the marketing, communications and creative department for this mid-size manufacturing company with 22 branch locations across the US, UK, and Korea.

Since 2003, I have worked independently as a freelance graphic designer, web designer and user experience designer for private, corporate and agency clients throughout Western Washington and beyond. I bring to my work a passion and strong intuition for design integrity combined with a well-grounded understanding of design principles and a solid understanding of technology's application in design.

Over time I have seen my share of bad design in communications and desktop and web applications, which adversely affects message delivery in communications, useability of applications and loss of sales in e-commerce scenarios. I add value to my projects by bringing real-world experience, creative, technical and writing skills to bear on the challenge at hand. In addition to my passion for design, I am an open communicator, listening first to clients' needs and ideas, then translating them into informed, strategic design solutions.

Client projects include: corporate identity, marketing collateral, advertising, product packaging, User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) design, and Flash animation.
